Ataköy, Bakırköy, Kilyos and Şile.
Hunt Tourism
It is possible to perform hunt tourism in
Bakırköy, Çatalca, Beykoz and Şile.
Bakirkoy: Around Küçüçekmece lake
rarely duck and wild goose, around Alibeyköy dam
lake duck and goose, in the region allowed for
hunting in Belgrad forests around Kemerburgaz
wild boar, fox, rarely jackal and wolf, in dense
forests woodcock, pheasant and wild pigeon
hunting is performed.
Catalca: It is most adequate district
of Istanbul for hunting. At north west, Yalıköy
region is determined as roe and pheasant
production area. Other than this, at Binkılıç
and environs, wild boar, woodcock and wild
pigeon, rabbit and fox hunting is performed. On
the high hills of Istranca Mountains and in
dense forests it is possible to see wolf very
rarely. Woodcock hunt can be performed during
resting periods while migration. Quail and
freckle partridge hunting can be performed in
open areas in the plains or between forests (south
parts). Water buffalo which are separated from
their herds and become wild within the forest,
and faced rarely in our country, can be hunt
with the permission of borough master. Calm
water and municipal lakes, are appropriate
regions for duck and wild goose hunt. Also above
mentioned duck, goose and water birds hunt is
performed in the small rivers and lakes in the
environment. Within the province territories of
south regions quail, stoke dove, freckle
partridge, rabbit and fox hunting is appropriate.
In the north regions, at forest areas, wild boar
and woodcock hunts are performed. Sinekli region
is determined as pheasant protection area.
Beykoz: At north east part of province
territory you can hunt woodcock, rabbit and fox
as well as rarely mountain partridge. Around
Ömerli dam lake, duck and goose hunt can be
performed. In dense forest areas, wild board
hunt is also performed.
Sile: In the Asia side, it is the best
hunting grounds of the city. Forests at Black
Sea coast are the appropriate regions for wild
boar and woodcock. During migration periods in
environ river and small lakes (Rez and Riva)
wild goose and wild duck hunt is performed.
Yachting
Istanbul is also a popular starting point for
yachtsmen. Yachtsmen can reach Black Sea harbors
and Istanbul Strait and Marinas via European
channel system and Rhine and Tuna with European
internal seas from North Sea, and can reach
Turkish Mediterranean coasts and marinas.
Beautiful bays of Islands and Bosporus, under
the bridges lying between two continents, are
also preferred routes for yachtsmen.
Golf
There are two golf facilities, who has
operation license from Ministry of Tourism in
Istanbul.
